How long does it take to get my order?
New order shipping estimates (for single orders – multi item orders take a bit longer):
- Shouter Wear Cheer Shoe Covers: 5 to 7 business days
- Spirit Bears: 2 – 3 weeks, a few days more if there is a new logo set up & during cheer season.
- Shove It bags: 7 to 10 business days
- Seat Savers: 7 to 10 business days
- Custom Caps: 2 – 3 weeks, a few days more if there is a new logo set up
- Beanies: 5 to 7 business days
Please allow a few additional days for new orders involving team logo / design set up. Orders placed after October 1 thru March 31 will take about 3 to 5 additional days because of peak cheer season – if you need your item faster please select the “rush” option.
What if I need my order by a certain date?

What colors do you have?
Please visit the color swatches to see available colors / fabrics. It’s not a full list so if there is something special you were looking for, contact me.
Determine your exact beanie size by measuring your athlete’s head circumference in inches. All fabric is pre-washed prior to cutting pattern to assure that it won’t shrink.
- Youth Small (YS) = 19″ head circumference
- Youth Medium (YM) = 20″ head circumference
- Youth Large (YL) = 21″ head circumference
- Adult Small (AS)= 22″ head circumference
- Adult Medium (AM)= 23″ head circumference
- Adult Large (AL)= 24″ head circumference
- Adult X Large (AXL)= 25″ head circumference

All cheer shoe covers are made to order based on the information you provide.
Part of the way the shoe covers stay on is the snug fit around the cheer shoe. To get the correct fit on shoe covers it’s best to measure across the bottom of the shoe from heel to toe. That measurement in inches is the way we size the shoe covers. We want to be sure that the bottom of the shoe covers matches up to the bottom of the shoes. Here are a couple of photos showing ways to measure correctly:
NOTE: Do not “size up” (to allow for growth or future shoe size) – cheer shoes generally only have 1/4″ difference between sizes. Purchasing shoe covers that are larger than the actual measurement could cause the uppers to wear out prematurely. Shoe covers that are larger can also become a tripping hazard.
What are the soles made of? Can they be worn outside?
One of the most common questions I receive is about the soles of the shoe covers. They are water proof – made for wet situations. They have an embossed tread. They meet ADA slip resistant requirements. And they will most likely outlast the rest of the shoe cover – they are that sturdy!
Just like other shoes, they may slip on a smooth wet surface. That’s why you see those “caution wet floor” signs in the venues.
For further protection, I recommend using scotch-guard on the fabric uppers to make them more resistant to dirt and water. Of course, if necessary, you can wash these in cold water and air dry.
What if I change my mind and want a refund?
The vast majority of our products are custom, made to order based on your requests (colors, fabrics etc). Custom designed / sewn items (hats, t-shirts, bags, bears, shoe covers, monogram towels and etc.) are non-refundable.
Regular merchandise (snoozies, spirit sleeves etc) may be returned in original, unused condition for a refund. Contact us in advance for approval.
Is there a guarantee for your products?
When you buy from Cheerful Ideas you can be assured that we take every measure possible to be sure your items will last. However, the majority of items we sell are hand made. This does not mean they are of lesser quality, in fact they are most likely of higher quality because of the attention to detail. But if your purchase does not withstand normal wear and tear please contact us for advice / repair or replacement.
Shoe covers are guaranteed for a full year against normal wear and tear and will be replaced with the same shoe style / color when necessary. Contact us in advance for return approval and instructions.

What about American Girl doll uniforms?
I discontinued doll outfits when I took on this business venture in April 2016. And recently the Supreme Court has decided that Varsity and other companies that make cheer uniforms own the copyright so making replicas is now not possible under the law. While I might choose to make doll outfits in the future, they will be warm ups, practice outfits and etc. that are not exact replicas but in the team colors with team logos.
